CONTRA THE BOARD GAME (EN)

Contra: The Board Game is a strategy and action game based on the classic video game, designed by Adam and Brady Sadler for 1 to 4 players.

Inspired by the classic video game Contra, players take on the role of iconic commandos who must survive dangerous levels and face huge bosses as they strive to bring down the mysterious Red Falcon organization.

Focusing on fast-paced, modular gameplay, Contra lets players choose which commando decks to pit against which boss decks, all in a tactical level map driven by a level deck. The gameplay involves hand management, dice mitigation and an elegant checkpoint system that allows players to gain the upper hand over their enemies.

The gameplay uses the highly acclaimed MDS (modular deck system) from Street Masters, Brook City and Altar Quest, by Blacklist Games, LLC. This allows the player to choose a unique commando deck, select a level, then select an enemy to create a unique scenario that offers players a multitude of combinations and replayability.
